 Job Description

Storage Administrator / Data Storage Engineer to support network storage solutions which will be both NAS and SAN architectures. Person will support a mixed Windows and UNIX environment. Will provide senior level knowledge/Tier 3 support to MAJCOM customer and its components. Will be responsible for tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support. Will build, configure, and administer several data filers and servers worldwide. Subject to deploy to the Middle East to support customer servers and sites. Shall have working knowledge of NIS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, NAS, SAN, COTS and GOTS applications. Knowledge of NetApp, EMC, Brocade switches, metro clusters, synchronous mirrored clusters and enterprise tape backup solutions a strong plus.

Provide senior level systems engineering to the SE RSC Requirements and Research (RR) section, and to the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Enterprise Management solutions team. This technical professional is responsible for planning, installing, configuring, performance tuning, problem determination and documenting of solutions for Data Storage architecture across the enterprise.

Candidate must have the ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and possess strong verbal and written technical communications skills. TS/SCI clearance required.

Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent experience required with additional advanced and specialized training in UNIX based networks/systems administration/network administration. Applicant should be accustomed to military deployed environments. Familiarity with server hardware, communication systems, and intelligence information systems is preferred. A comprehensive technical knowledge with strong communication skills (written & oral), and strong customer interface skills is extremely valuable. An Industry Standard Certification REQUIRED. Prefer SNIA certification, Solaris 8 or higher, or MCSE.

A minimum of 4 years experience in the administration on Operating System Software listed above. Require strong troubleshooting background in computer hardware, communications equipment, and related services. Prefer strong military intelligence community and/or imagery information background.
